True service starts with love. Not just for others, but for ourselves. In Leviticus 19:18, God commands us to “love your neighbor as yourself,” which assumes that we first know how to love ourselves! But real self-love isn’t about pride or selfishness, it’s about seeing ourselves the way God sees us.
When our self-love is rooted in God’s love, we don’t serve out of emptiness, people-pleasing, or seeking validation. Instead, we serve from a place of confidence and humility, knowing that our worth isn’t in what we do but in who we are in Him.
Take a moment to reflect: Do you truly love yourself the way God does? How does your view of yourself impact the way you serve others?
